DETAIL ITINERARY:

 Day 1: Arrival  & Transfer to hotel

Our staff receives you at Tribhuvan International airport arrival gate, Kathmandu on your arrival date and time. Drive to Bikemandu in Patan for introduction, paperwork and payment then transfer to your hotel for overnight stay. Leisure time afterwards. Rest or stroll around the town with fellow riders to see locality and visit to an ancient Durbar squares with a guide to explore and experience the outlook of the beauty of cultural heritages.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara (200 KMS, 6 Hrs)

After breakfast in the morning, a support jeep will be at your hotel at 8.00 am then drive you to Bikemandu. A quick paperwork and formalities then get set for the drive. Beginning from Kalanki, the riders shall begin up their ride and come across the hectic busy K-Town. After reaching Thankot Check Post, the riders will experience steep down hill ride till they make it to Naubise. After short refreshment and rest, the riders shall further gear up and drive with the flow of river alongside through several towns and villages to our final stop for the night at city of the lakes “Pokhara”

Day 3: Pokhara – Tatopani (1190 M, 115 Kms, 6 Hrs)

After early breakfast, set out for town of Beni, 90 Kms on the Baglung Highway which takes about 3 hours and a convenient place to stop for lunch. From here set out on a rough terrain on the newly constructed road to Jomsom through the deepest gorge flanked by highest mountains “Dhaulagiri (8167M/7^th  highest))  to the West and “Annapurna” (8091M/10^th highest)to the right to arrive at Tatopani. Tatopani which means “Hot Water” is one of the most popular overnight stops in this area. It is so named because of the Hot Springs, located close by. Overnight in Tatopani.

Day 4: Tatopani – Jomsom (2743  Metres) (65 Kms, 4 Hrs)

Breakfast at hotel in the morning and start ride by 9.00 am. You will ascend toward the Himalayan zone today, bypassing a few world’s highest mountain in the Eastern side. All off road riding today towards high Himalayan region. Change in surrounding vegetation and alluring nature will be noticed while continuing to the North. Leisure time after reaching Jomsom  for overnight stay.

Jomsom (2743 m) is the Administrative seat of the Mustang Region and the gateway to the Annapurna region. A land of mystique, the rugged peaks of the Annapurna, Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri gaze down in their awesome splendour at weathered landscapes which contrast with the deep river ravines over noisy river beds. Day 5: Jomsom – Muktinath – Kagbeni 2805 M (55  Kms/5 Hrs)

Breakfast at hotel in the morning. We set towards Muktinath via Kagbeni, you will find a tranquil village known as Kagbeni surrounded by spectacularly mesmerising mountains. Kagbeni is a gateway to Upper Mustang and Muktinath. After a short excursion around the village and capturing memories, we ascend towards highest point accessible by surprisingly smooth but narrow black topped road that connects a small town “Muktinath” settled on the lap of Nilgiri Himalaya. Muktinath is famous place which is not only remarkable in aspect of religion but it is an ultimate destination that is a part of popular Annapurna circuit trek. Hindu and Buddhist have strong belief that if one can reach Muktinath, their soul after the deceased easily make way to the heaven. We stroll around this town while enjoying captivating views of Himalayas and  Kali Gandaki river. It is a good moment to interact with locals of the highland and understand about their lifestyles, tradition and cultures. Interested personnel can purchase millions of years old ammonite fossils as a souvenir. The fossils have been proved as a remain of dead sea animals when Eurasian and Indian tech tonic plates collided 30 – 50 million years ago. Day 6: Kagbeni – Ghami 3520 M (84 Kms. 5 Hrs)

Breakfast at hotel in the morning. We set towards Upper Mustang, the restricted and hidden land of wonders. We instantly enter Upper Mustang area today after crossing check point at the end of Kagbeni village. The Undulating road  takes you along bank of Kali Gandaki river and residences of local peoples in the Himalayas. While ascending towards the roof of the world, one can enjoy the spectacular view of the enthralling landscapes. It really gives a exhilarating feels while a small group ride across unique and immense vast land of the mountains and colourful cliffs and canyons.We pass 3800 meters altitude village settlement and Nya La pass of 4010 metres. Day 7: Ghami – Lo Manthang 3810 M via Tsarang Sightseeing 3560 Metres ( 5 Hrs)

Have breakfast in the morning. It is quite excited day today to reach ultimate destination of this tour, Lo-Manthang. We cross several Mani walls and big village called Tsarang (3560 Metres). Panoramic view of mountain is always seen from different angles. You will than view wall covered village from the far. It is better to take rest once you reach at tea house in Lo Manthang. It helps your body to get acclimatized in a good way. Lo Manthang (3,800m) is an isolated Tibetan settlement among the tallest ridges in the world that was founded in 1380 and was capital ancient city of Upper Mustang. It is a  medieval walled city  as it is encircled by wall from all sides. It is known as the kingdom of Lo, the Forbidden Kingdom, the Walled City, the City Within a Wall or simply Lo Manthang there’s an undeniable temptation to visit this city of myth and fact for decades.

Day 8: China Border and explore around  Lo Manthang (4000+ Metres)

Today is a full day exploration in Upper Mustang. After breakfast, ride to Nepal Tibet border, the place named Kora La (4660 Metres) along the paved road at the high altitude. Kora la is the  border line between Nepal and Tibet that is part of a Tibetan Plateau (“The roof of the world”) and is a point that conjoint territory of Nepal and Tibet adjacently.  It is about 20 kilometers from Lomanthang. Get the view of the Himalayas and valley. Enjoy the way you would like together in the group as you have reached the final point of the ride that stretched a little beyond Lo Manthang.Today, if  you wish you can pay a visit to local school to distribute some educational material where you spend a little happy moments to local kids. Furthermore, explore around Lo Manthang to Jhong cave, a 5 story high built into a cliff with more than 40 rooms. Ride back and check in to same hotel for overnight. Day 9: Lo Manthang – Kagbeni (8 Hrs)

Today is a longest drive. Early morning start today after the breakfast. Ride back same way descending along serpentine trail via Ghilling, enjoying breathtaking view of plateau land and panoramic Himalayas during whole day of riding. Deserve a good rest after arrival to kagbeni.

Day 10: Kagbeni – Tatopani

As soon as you open your eyes and look around, today you will see the captivating views of surrounding within the tranquility of this remote village. After breakfast we set out for Tatopani. We ride back to Tatopani via Jomsom, through Marpha village “a garden of Apple” if time permits/level of exhaustion followed by Lete/Ghasa which are a few Himalayan settlements along the road. After arrival at Tatopani, you can have leisure time enjoying bathing at Natural Hot Spring. This will lessen your exhaustion of riding for many days.Overnight stay here.

Day 11:  Tatopani – Pokhara

Have breakfast in the morning. Start ride by 9.00 am to Pokhara. Today, after 16 Kms of off road riding, you will experience the feeling of true relief when you rejoin the asphalt road. After arrival to Pokhara, enjoy leisure time. You will have enough time to walk around Lake side and explore the famous tourist town in Pokhara. You can witness yourself now by observing the panoramic Himalayas across other mountains from Pokhara about your epic journey into the land of majestic Himalayas. Every time you look across the mountains to the north, the white snow-capped Himalayas found to be greeting you as you get more familiar with them and also recall the apparent livelihood of people, their cultures and magnificent landscapes in the Himalayan region.

Day 12: Pokhara – Kathmandu

Have breakfast in the morning. Start ride by 9.00 am to arrive Kathmandu by 1700 PM. It is the same way back along the river valley. End of tour drinks Farewell BBQ after arrival. Presentation of Tour Designed T-Shirt for memory. Tour group photo together and transfer to hotel. A deserving rest awaits you after a long wonderful journey of restricted land of wonders “Upper Mustang, Nepal”.

Day 13: Departure arrangement/Fly home

Note: If your hotel does not provide airport transfer service, Bikemandu will provide airport transfer service from your hotel. Request you to consult with Bikemandu Rep. in this regard. On your preferred date and time, a vehicle accompanied by our guide will arrive at your hotel to convey you to the airport so that we can bid a farewell to all our riders in a Nepalese cultural way. Our guide will assist all our valued riders to check out and accompany you until cordial departure from the airport.

 

Extra Information:

• It will be cold up in the Himalayan so please pack warm clothes, visual equipment (binoculars), head torch, Swiss knife, packed instant energy foods etc. Please bring light weight sleeping bag as sometime it is difficult to get extra blanket in Upper Mustang area. Bring some toffees for children of Himalayan if you want to get in touch with village children in remote area. They are very curious and happy to see you.
• In the Mountain, for foods/drinks you need local cash to pay. You can take out local cash in high street banks from your card in Kathmandu and Pokhara or exchange your currency with money changers in Thamel.
