Day 1: Arrival & Visa Preparation
Welcome to Nepal. We arrange all arrangements to receive you at the airport. Your journey begins as you arrive in Kathmandu, the heart of Nepal. After arrival and relax for a while, we’ll collect your passport and proceed through the visa process seamlessly at Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, leaving you with plenty of time to soak in the vibrant energy of this ancient city. Rest, recharge, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure.
Day 2: Explore the Wonders of Kathmandu
Dive into a full day of sightseeing, exploring Kathmandu’s rich heritage and cultural landmarks. Travel comfortably by vehicle as you visit iconic sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Patan Durbar Square. Capture the essence of Nepal’s history, spirituality, and timeless charm. We organise everything to get much out of this beyond your expectation.
Day 3: Final Preparations & Half-Day Exploration
Spend the morning exploring hidden gems and serene spots around Kathmandu. As the day unfolds, prepare for tomorrow’s thrilling ride to the Kora La border. Your bike awaits—get ready to rev up and embrace the adventure of a lifetime! The road ahead promises breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable memories. Let the journey begin!
Day 4: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (137km, 7 hrs)
After breakfast, you will be picked up from hotel at 8:30 am and drive to motorcycle store. Then, we begin our motorcycle adventure by riding toward the border area, close to Tibet. Whilst on the ride along the hilly terrain we see deep gorges, snow-capped mountains, cascading river on the way. Today we ride across Langtang National Park. Stay overnight in village guest house in Syabrubesi.
Day 5: Syabrubesi to Kyirong (2700m, 40km, 4-5hrs)
After breakfast, we will ride 15km toward border to enter Tibet. There, we will introduce you to our guide in China side. Then we will ride 1 hour to Kyirong (2800m) which is surrounded by lofty snow-capped mountains and dense forests. In the afternoon, you take a stroll to visit Paba Temple (2850m), Gelugpa temple built by Tibetan King Songtsan Gambo at the proposal of his wife Nepali princess Bhrikuti. The Nepali style temple with delicate murals is only within minutes’ walk from your hotel. Stay overnight in Kyirong Hotel
Day 6: Kerung – Tingri (4300 M)/Lhatse (4350 M: 225 Kms/244 Kms)
Uphill drive to the highest plateu of the world enjoying breathtaking views of Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M),& Mt Xishapagma (8021 M) but dwarfed by vastness of Tibetan plateau. One can enjoy the magnificent view of Mt Everest (8848 M) from Tingri. We ride pass through Peikutso lake and grassland.
Day 7: Tingri – EBC – Tingri (5380m, approx 130 Kms)
After breakfast, we ride to Everest Base Camp and visit the world highest Monastery, the Rongbuk Monastery. On the way, you can view the jaw dropping panoramic Himalayan Mountain Range at Gawu La Pass (5198m). After visiting Everest Base Camp, we will ride back to Tingri. Stay overnight in Tingri Hotel.
Day 8: Tingri to Shigatse (280km, 7 hrs)
After breakfast, today we will ride from Tingri to Shigatse. On the way, you will visit the 5000m G318 National Highway milestone in Lhatse. After your arrival in Shigatse in the early afternoon, you will visit the seat of Panchen Lama – Tashilunpo Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in Tibet. Stay overnight in Shigatse hotel.
Day 9: Shigatse to Lhasa via Gyantse (375km)
Today, we will ride to Lhasa via Gyantse. On the way you can see many Tibetan farmer villages. After arriving in Gyantse, you will visit Heritage town Gyantse old street and Perklor Monastery, Kumbum stupa. Then you will also visit Manak Dam Lake, Korola Glacier and Yamdrok Lake on the way to Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa.
Day 10: Lhasa Tour – Potala Palace, Johkang Temple, and Barkhor Street
After breakfast, you will visit the Potala Palace which is winter palace of the Dalai Lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet. After lunch, you will visit Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Inside the temple, you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve. Outside, you can see pilgrims making prostrating in front of Jokhang Temple. Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market. We can taste Tibetan tea with locals in the tea house. Stay overnight in Lhasa
Day 11: Lhasa Tour – Drepung and Sera Monastery
After breakfast, you will visit Drepung Monastery which is one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1416 by Jamyang choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. You will see biggest monastery kitchen inside the monastery and enjoy Buddhist Sculpture Carving workshop near Drepung.
In the Afternoon, you will visit Sera Monastery which is another one of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet. The hot attraction is the Monks debating in the courtyard of SeraMonastery. In addition, you will see colorful rock painting of Buddha and see the three sand Mandalas in Sera Monastery. After that, you will visit Tibetan religious text printing house.
In the evening, we get together for dinner to bid farewell from Lhasa. Stay overnight in Lhasa.
Day 12: Depart from Lhasa
Today, you will be transferred to airport in accompany with your guide and help you get on board.
