      1300 kms
    • Best Season
      March - May & October - December

A 12 - Day Dual-Sport Motorcycle Expedition through Mustang, Lumbini, and the Terai

Experience the full spectrum of the Himalayas on the most diverse Nepal motorcycle adventure ever designed. This isn't just a mountain ride—it’s a cross-country expedition that takes you from the ancient spiritual heights of Muktinath (3,710m) to the subtropical wildlife sanctuaries of Chitwan National Park.

Phase 1: The Heritage Hills & The Gateway to Mustang

Our journey begins with a ride to Bandipur, a living museum of Newari culture. Perched on a ridge, it offers a 180-degree view of the Himalayas before we descend into the adventure hub of Pokhara.

    • The Ride: Winding asphalt and scenic "S-curves" along the Marsyangdi River.

    • Highlight: Sunset over the Annapurna Range from a hilltop boutique café.

Phase 2: The Lower Mustang Dirt & Dust

From Pokhara, the terrain shifts. We swap smooth tarmac for the rugged Kali Gandaki Gorge. This section is the heart of our Lower Mustang ride, leading us through the apple orchards of Marpha to the sacred 108 waterspouts of Muktinath Temple. In this section, you will experience what really means Nepal motorcycle adventure.

    • Terrain: Rocky riverbeds, gravel ascents, and high-altitude mountain tracks.

    • Mustang Vibe: Experience the "Rain Shadow" landscape—stark, arid, and majestic.

Phase 3: Spirituality and the "Hill Station" Charm

Heading south, we ride the spectacular Siddhartha Highway toward Tansen (Palpa), an ancient hill station with cobbled streets. From there, we descend into the plains to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    • The Ride: The Tansen-Lumbini descent features some of the best technical twisties in Asia.

    • Culture: Explore the Maya Devi Temple and international monasteries on two wheels.

Phase 4: Jungles, Safaris, and the Daman High Pass

The adventure takes a wild turn as we ride into Chitwan National Park. Trade your helmet for a safari hat as we track rhinos and tigers. To finish, we tackle the legendary Daman (Tribhuvan Highway)—one of Nepal's most challenging and rewarding mountain passes—for a final panoramic view of Everest before returning to Kathmandu.

    • Unique Experience: Jungle safari and riverside sundowners in the Terai.

    • The Final Climb: The Daman pass offers 2,000 meters of vertical elevation change in a single afternoon.

From here most of the treks starts for the western region and is a haven for people who wants to relax in this serene mountain beauty. The Annapurna mountain range is impressive by any standard. Looming ahead to take the center stage is Machhapuchhare or “Fish Tail Mountain”, which gets its name from the shape of its summit and flanking it from either side are the great mountains of the range including Annapurna I (8091 m), the first 8000 m peak to be scaled in 1950. The Kali Gandaki gorge is the deepest gorge in the world. As we pass between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain range, a dramatic change in vegetation is witnessed from green forests, to dry arid desert. It takes gradual acclimatising with the surrounding. The Thakalies are the dominant tribe of the valley, related to the Gurung and Magars of the southern slopes. We by pass the route to Jomsom and head straight to Kagbeni (2800 m) which is the gateway to Upper Mustang. (Note : The Kaligandaki Valley becomes increasingly windy during the day as the winds blows south to north and make it difficult for travelers. At 3800 m, its eternal flame draws the Hindus and Buddhist alike and is therefore, interesting to note the mixture of Buddhist and Hindu culture in this area. There are many interests to occupy the day in this ancient town which also used to be the capital of one of the province of Mustang. After lunch ride down to Jomsom by way of Jharkot. Jomsom (2713 m) is the Administrative seat of the Mustang Region and the gateway to the Annapurna region. Frequently Asked Questions

Because this route covers both technical off-road (Mustang) and long highway stretches (Lumbini/Chitwan), the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is the gold standard. Its "Sherpa" engine handles the high-altitude climbs of Daman and the heat of the Terai plains with ease.

The section from Beni to Muktinath is the most challenging. It involves gravel, river crossings, and dust. However, our tour is designed for intermediate riders with basic off-road confidence.

On a clear day, the Daman lookout point (our final stop) offers one of the widest views of the Himalayan range, including a distant view of Mt. Everest and the entire Annapurna/Dhaulagiri massif.

This tour requires the ACAP (Annapurna) and TIMS permits. Unlike Upper Mustang, Lower Mustang (Muktinath) does not require the expensive $500 RAP permit, making this 14-day loop the best value-for-money adventure in Nepal.
