The world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest, as well as other Himalayas, can be seen from the top of the hill when the day is clear. In the north-east of Kathmandu is a small town, “Kodari”, close to the border between two countries, Nepal and Tibet. This place is influenced by mixed cultures of Nepalese and Tibetan. A border has been connected by a bridge known as the “Friendship Bridge.” The 144 km Arniko Highway connecting Kathmandu with Kodari passes through magnificent river gorges and splendid mountain scenery. Three kilometers short of Kodari is the famous hot water spring called Tatopani, meaning hot water. People come here from all over Nepal to take baths in the hot water for its therapeutic value. Overnight in the Last Resort after returning from Kodari is a good option for riders who are looking for adventure or relaxation. The Last Resort is set amidst sprawling terraced slopes, suspended in a high cliff-top gorge above the wild Bhote Kosi River and surrounded by dense jungle and pristine forest. Day 1
Kathmandu – Bhaktapur – Nagarkot (Approx. 2.5 Hours)
Your journey begins with a drive from the bustling capital of Kathmandu to the ancient city of Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend the morning exploring the medieval squares, temples, and intricate woodwork of this living museum. After immersing yourself in history, continue your journey to Nagarkot, a hill station known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest on a clear day. Arrive by late afternoon, just in time to witness a breathtaking sunset over the peaks. Settle into your accommodation at Hotel Country Villa, Hotel Club Himalaya, or Mystic Mountain, where the views are simply unmatched.
Day 2
Nagarkot – Kodari – The Last Resort (Approx. 4 Hours)
Rise early to catch the sunrise as it illuminates the Himalayan range. After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards Kodari, the gateway to Tibet. This route offers stunning views of terraced fields, deep gorges, and snow-capped mountains. By midday, arrive at The Last Resort, a haven for thrill-seekers nestled on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. Spend the rest of the day indulging in adrenaline-pumping activities like bungee jumping, canyoning, or simply unwind in the serene surroundings. The night is spent in cozy tents or lodges, surrounded by nature.

The Last Resort – Kathmandu (Approx. 5 Hours)
After a hearty breakfast and a morning of relaxation or adventure at The Last Resort, begin your return journey to Kathmandu. The drive back offers one last opportunity to soak in the majestic landscapes of the Himalayas and the rolling hills of the valley.
