    Kathmandu Lhasa 15 days high altitude Motorcycle Adventure via Everest Base Camp is a distinct overland adventure tour that takes you to the world’s highest and biggest plateau known as “The Tibetan Plateau” which ranges from 13,000 to 15000 feet above sea level and enclosed by great himalayan ranges that bears Mount Everest (8848.86 M) and K2 (8611 M) and also other peaks higher than 20,000 feet. It is a dream come true to see the one and only world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest from its base camp at an altitude of 5300 metres. This tour is designed for travellers who are adventurous, seeking unforgettable experience and want to explore the natural paradise of Tibet on motorbikes by crossing many world’s highest driveable passes. A ride on the roof of the world is an exceptionally different experience than other rides in your life. The mighty Everest, at 8,848 metres (29,029 feet), stood taller than the Shishapangma, the Makalu, the Lhotse, and the Cho Oyu that flanked it—all of them standing over 8,000 metres high.     Day 1
    Arrival to Kathmandu & Transfer to Hotel/Visa preparation
    17 Kms

    Receive our group by our friendly guide in a Nepali hospitable environment. Group transfer to hotel. Collection of passports and get refreshed. A day to relax and stroll around local market. Meet a group by our representative at hotel for briefing about the next plan of tour. Time: TBC

    Day 2
    Visa Preparation. Sightseeing in Kathmandu. Motorcycle & Spares Inspection

    After breakfast, embark on a guided Kathmandu heritage tour exploring top UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Highlights include the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, the iconic Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), and the massive Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world. You’ll also visit the medieval city of Patan and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, rich in culture, art, and ancient architecture.

    Day 3 & 4
    Kathmandu – Timure/Syapru (Drive about 4 Hours from Kathmandu & Stay overnight nearby border)

    Today, we stay on standby with your motorcycle tour gear ready. You can relax at the hotel or explore the local town for souvenirs. If passports arrive before noon, we begin the ride heading north of Kathmandu, possibly reaching Bidur or nearby for an overnight guesthouse stay. If passports arrive late, the ride will begin on Day 4 (time TBC) toward the Nepal-Tibet border at Kerung (124 km – approx. 8 hours). This scenic route passes through Nuwakot, Dhunche, Shyabrubesi, and the beautiful Langtang National Park, ending with an overnight stay at a Nepal-side guesthouse in Rasuwagadi.

    Kerung Border (Short ride followed by Immigration procedure then overnight in Kerung)

    Cross the Nepal-Tibet border and ride 24 kilometers to reach the first Tibetan town, Kerung. After completing customs formalities, enjoy your first day of altitude acclimatization in this scenic Himalayan region. For adventure seekers, there’s an optional ride up to Kerung Thil (Upper Kerung), reaching nearly 4,500 meters, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas before returning to Kerung for an overnight stay.

    Day 6
    Kerung – Tingri (4300 M)/Lhatse (4350m)
    225 kms

    Embark on a scenic day drive uphill to the highest plateau in the world, immersing yourself in the breathtaking Tibetan landscape. Experience the exhilarating feeling of standing on the “Roof of the World”, where, weather permitting, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of majestic Himalayan giants like Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt. Xishapagma (8,012m), framed by the vastness of the Tibetan Plateau. From Tingri, witness the awe-inspiring magnificence of Mt. Everest (8,848m) in the distance. End your day with a comfortable overnight stay at a local guesthouse.

    Day 7
    Tingri - Rongbuk (5200m)

    Experience an unforgettable motorcycle ride to Everest Base Camp (5,200m) on the North side of Mount Everest. Journey through the historic Ronbuk Monastery, the last tea house stop before Base Camp, offering stunning views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. Explore the legendary Base Camp area, then ride back to Ronbuk for an overnight stay at a high-altitude guesthouse (5,000m). This day promises breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and an authentic Everest adventure.

    Day 8
    Ringbuk - Tingri/Shegar (4348 m)

    Enjoy a peaceful morning at Ronbuk Monastery, soaking in breathtaking views of Mount Everest and surrounding Himalayan peaks. Take time to visit the historic Ronbuk Monastery, one of the oldest in the region. Later, embark on a scenic ride back to Tingri or Shegar along the same picturesque route. Overnight stay at a comfortable guesthouse.

    Day 9
    Tingri - Shigatse (3900 m)
    280 kms

    Ride from Tingri to Shigatse (220 km, approx. 6 hours) along the main highway, crossing spectacular high-altitude passes including Gyatchu La (5,220m), adorned with colorful Buddhist prayer flags. Along the way, experience the traditional lifestyle of Tibetan nomads, serene mountain lakes, and panoramic Himalayan views. Arrive in Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet, and visit the historic Tashilhunpo Monastery, a key spiritual center. Overnight at a 3-star hotel at 3,900m elevation. comfortable 3-star hotel at 3,900 meters.

    Shigatse – Lhasa (3700 M, 7 hr)
    270 kms

    Continue motorcycle adventure to Lhasa via the main highway, enjoying a more scenic and green route. Ride alongside the Lhasa River, crossing it several times, while sharing the road with local traffic including lorries, buses, and cars—offering a glimpse into daily Tibetan life. Arrive in the historic city of Lhasa, the heart of Tibetan culture and spirituality. Check in to a 3-star hotel (3,700m), then enjoy an evening walk around the city and dinner at a local restaurant.

    SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA (3700 m)

    Spend a full day exploring the spiritual and cultural heart of Lhasa, Tibet’s most iconic city. Visit the majestic Potala Palace, former residence of the Dalai Lama, and the sacred Jokhang Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site revered by Tibetan Buddhists. Enjoy a guided walk through the bustling Barkhor Bazaar, a traditional marketplace that offers a glimpse into authentic Tibetan life. After a day filled with history and culture, return to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.

    Lhasa – Shigatse (4000 m)

    Begin your return journey with a breathtaking motorbike ride from Lhasa to Shigatse (270 km – approx. 8 hours) via the stunning Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s most sacred and colorful high-altitude lakes. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Nojin Kangtsang and cross several dramatic high mountain passes. Witness the spectacular Khorala Glacier (7,200m) and expansive views of the Tibetan Himalayas. Arrive in Shigatse, the administrative hub of western Tibet, for an overnight stay at a comfortable 3-star hotel at 4,000 meters.

    Day 13
    Shigatse – Saga (4450 M)
    320 kms

    Today’s journey is a long but rewarding motorcycle ride from Shigatse to Saga (320 km – approx. 9 hours), the official gateway to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Ride through ever-changing Tibetan landscapes as you leave the Shigatse region and enter the remote and scenic Ngari region. Marvel at the dramatic Himalayan mountain views along the route. Arrive in Saga, a small yet well-equipped town with guest houses, Tibetan and Chinese restaurants, and local shops. Overnight at a comfortable guest house at 4,450 meters.

    Day 14
    Saga – Kerung (2300 M)
    300 kms

    Ride from Saga to Kerung (approx. 300 km, 7–8 hrs), descending from the Tibetan plateau to the lush Kerung Valley at 2,300m. Enjoy changing landscapes—from high-altitude deserts to green hills—with views of the Himalayan foothills. Kerung, a key Nepal-Tibet border town, offers a cultural blend and a refreshing climate. Overnight at a local guest house.

    Day 15
    Kerung – Kathmandu (1400 m)
    175 km

    After completing Nepal-Tibet border formalities at Kerung, begin your final motorcycle ride back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic descent through the Himalayas, passing villages and river valleys along the way. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, return your motorbikes, enjoy end-of-tour drinks and group photos, and celebrate the successful completion of your epic Tibet motorcycle adventure. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel for a well-earned rest after one of the most memorable rides of your life.

    Farewell & Safe Journey – Until We Ride Again

    As your incredible Tibet–Nepal motorcycle adventure comes to an end, a private van will transfer you from your hotel to the airport.
