Manang Motorcycle Adventure 13 days Tour and Trek (altitude: 4919 metres) is a golden opportunity for all those who are fond of both riding and hiking for adventure as well as sightseeing activities in Pokhara. It is pretty similar to Mustang, but the riding track is more difficult than Mustang, and in addition, trekking in the Himalayas could be extra adventurous and challenging. Manang is a Himalayan town situated in the broad valley of the Marshyandi River to the north of the Annapurna mountain range in the Manang District of Nepal. The altitude of this town is 3519 metres (11,545 ft) above sea level. To the west, the 5416 metre (17,769 ft) Thorung La Pass leads to Muktinath Shrine and the valley of the Gandaki River. To the north, there is the Chulu East peak at 6,584 meters (21,601 ft). In Manang, there is a medical centre, which specializes in high altitude sickness. Trekkers or riders acclimatise in Manang prior to going hiking to the North at high altitude or crossing the Thorung La Pass to Muktinath shrine.

Day 1: Arrival/Transfer to hotel

Day 2: Kathmandu – Besisahar (830m)
Embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna Circuit. Covering approximately 180 kilometers in about 6-7 hours, this journey takes you through lush valleys and terraced fields, offering stunning views of the Himalayan foothills. Arrive in Besisahar, where you’ll settle in for the night.
Day 3: Besisahar – Chame (2630m)
Start your thrilling ride from Besisahar to Chame, the administrative center of the Manang district. This leg of the trip spans around 70 kilometers and typically takes about 5-6 hours. The route ascends through picturesque landscapes and charming villages, offering a taste of the rugged terrain to come.
Day 4: Chame – Pisang – Manang (3540m)
Continue your journey from Chame to Manang, passing through Purang along the way. This stretch covers approximately 80 kilometers and takes around 6-7 hours, traversing breathtaking mountain scenery and ancient Buddhist monasteries. Manang, your destination, is a high-altitude village where you’ll experience the unique culture of the Himalayas.
Day 5: Manang – Tilicho Basecamp (4200M, 6 Hrs Trek)
After breakfast, all riders, who are joining a trek will embark on a thrilling 6-hour trek from the charming village of Manang to the rugged heights of Tilicho Basecamp. This journey takes you through dramatic landscapes, with towering cliffs, pristine rivers, and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range. As you ascend, the air becomes crisper, and the scenery even more spectacular. Arriving at Tilicho Basecamp, you’ll find yourself at the gateway to one of the world’s highest lakes, surrounded by the serene and majestic beauty of the Himalayas.
Day 6: Tilicho Basecamp – Tilicho Lake (4949M) – Tilicho Basecamp (4200M, 6 Hrs)
Today, brace yourself for a breathtaking journey to one of the world’s highest lakes, Tilicho Lake, nestled at an altitude of 4,949 meters. The trail will lead you through rugged, dramatic landscapes as you ascend from Tilicho Basecamp. The air becomes thinner, and the atmosphere more surreal as you climb higher, with every step bringing you closer to the stunning blue waters of Tilicho Lake, shimmering amidst the snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching the lake, you’ll be greeted by a view that defies description—a pristine, turquoise jewel encircled by the towering Himalayas. After soaking in the serene ambiance and capturing unforgettable moments, you’ll begin the descent back to Tilicho Basecamp. This day promises to be one of the most memorable of your adventure.
Day 7: Tilicho Basecamp – Manang (3540M, 6 Hrs Trek)
Today, we descend from the high-altitude tranquility of Tilicho Basecamp to the vibrant village of Manang. This 6-hour trek takes you through awe-inspiring landscapes, from rugged mountain trails to lush valleys. As you make your way, enjoy sweeping views of the Annapurna range, cascading waterfalls, and serene alpine meadows. Arriving in Manang, you’ll be welcomed by the warmth of the local culture and the comfort of this picturesque Himalayan haven.
Day 8: Manang – Chame
Retrace your route back to Chame, covering about 80 kilometers in roughly 6-7 hours. Enjoy the reverse journey as you descend through stunning landscapes, reflecting on the majestic beauty you’ve encountered in the higher altitudes.
Day 9: Chame – Besisahar
Ride back from Chame to Besisahar, a distance of around 70 kilometers, typically taking 5-6 hours. This return trip offers a different perspective on the scenic beauty of the region, as you descend through the diverse landscapes of the Annapurna region.
Day 10: Pokhara Via Bandipur
Depart Besisahar and head towards Pokhara, stopping en route to explore the charming hill village of Bandipur. This day’s journey covers approximately 130 kilometers and takes around 6-7 hours, including a visit to Bandipur’s traditional Newari architecture and panoramic views. Arrive in Pokhara and enjoy its serene lakeside ambiance.
Day 11: Pokhara (Sightseeing & Rest day)
Take a leisurely day to explore Pokhara, known for its stunning lakes, waterfalls, and panoramic views of the Annapurna Range. Activities include visiting the serene Phewa Lake, exploring the bustling Lakeside area, and perhaps taking a relaxing boat ride or indulging in adventure sports.
Day 12: Kathmandu
Return to Kathmandu from Pokhara, a drive of approximately 200 kilometers that takes around 6-7 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll have the remainder of the day to revisit favorite spots or do some last-minute shopping and sightseeing.
Day 13: Transfer to Airport l/Fly Back
On your final day, transfer to the airport for your departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for a final exploration or relaxation. Say goodbye to Nepal and fly home or continue with other activities.
